About the Role
As Glimmer 411®’s Social Media Coordinator (intern position), in collaboration with the Marketing Team, you will oversee the company's social media marketing endeavors. As part of a budding startup company, you'll get the chance to help us expand our social media presence. The role is offers freedom for you to offer your own insight and creative vision to help us meet our shared goals!
Responsibilities include to:
Increase brand awareness and online reputation in a positive, authentic way
Engage with current and future potential customers
Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, etc.)
Develop and expand our online community and lead influencer outreach
Report on Reach, Impressions, and other analytic data to reflect the effectiveness of outreach campaigns
A person successful in this role is likely to be:
Self-motivated, independent, and creative
Experienced or passionate about personal hair care and Black hair care products
Detail-oriented and organized
Proficient in writing and language skills
Knowledgeable about social media platforms (mainly Instagram)
Well-versed and passionate about textured hair knowledge and textured haircare
Be able to suggest new ways to promote company offerings and to reach consumers
Use social media to engage consumers, respond to questions or complaints, and to promote company initiatives
Other details:
Commitment: 8-10 hours per week; work at your own pace.
Compensation: This is not a paid position at this time, however we are willing to take the steps necessary to offer college credit.
Work Location: Fully Remote.
Duration: 3-month internship with an opportunity for extension based on performance.
