Job Description

Glimmer 411 is looking for a creative and detail-oriented designer with a passion for curly, coily, and kinky hair to join the Glimmer 411 Marketing Team. This role offers the unique opportunity to prove and sharpen your skills as a designer while having a meaningful impact on the brand of an emerging startup. A person in this role will be expected to bring new, fresh ideas to the table that will help propel forward the visual identity Glimmer 411's digital properties.

Responsibilities

  • Design engaging and clear visual content for Glimmer 411 marketing materials. This includes: social media & website graphics, newsletter communications, and other materials as needed.

  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to present Glimmer 411 and its products in the most efficient and effective manner.

Qualifications

  • Be able to create and execute a creative vision

  • Be comfortable taking initiative and working in collaboration

  • Intermediate experience with typography, layouts, color, and other graphic design fundamentals

  • Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign , Canva, or other common design software (required)

  • Must be able to submit deliverables before deadlines in accordance with project and campaign schedules

Hours Required

  • Part-time: 4-6 hours per week (preferably available after 6pm EST)

Compensation

  • As we are still a young startup, this is not a paid position

  • We are willing to take the steps necessary to offer college credit

  • Fully Remote
