Principal Engineer Application

Overview

As Glimmer 411’s Developer, in collaboration with the Chief Technology Architect, you will help develop the first version of Curlpedia™. As a part of a budding startup, you’ll get a chance to help develop the Curlpedia™ app from the ground up while also getting experience in building web & mobile applications to scale. As principal engineer, you will be the driving force for programming output as it relates to the Curlpedia™ product. All guidelines and processes will be outlined and designed for development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages

  • Experience working with two or more from the following: full-stack web application development, mobile application development, information retrieval, machine learning, and/or design patterns

  • Healthy code conduct and code design

  • Experience with  2-week development sprints 

  • Knowledge of source control (ie. git)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of front end ecosystems: React Native, Angular, TypeScript/Javascript

  • Strong knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python,

  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced, startup environment

  • Have a personal or professional vested interest in the curly hair care community

Hours Required

  • 8-10 hours per week Monday- Friday
